YouTube launches new editing tools in the TestTube - video marketers take note!

So, what does TestTube offer to marketers?


CaptionTube

1. What is it?
   
   • A Beta product allows you to add captions and subtitles to your YouTube Videos
   • Cations appears as a text overlay in a transparent box in the video player window
     
     
2. Why use it?
   
   • Add a Transcript to your videos
   • Include Closed captions
   • Add search keywords to improve SEO
   • Add messaging to your video
     
     
3. How do I use it?
   
   • Upload you video and Edit it
   • Play your video and find the spot in the video timeline at which you want to add a caption

   • You can export your captions to edit
   • View in Preview mode to see how the caption appears in your video.

Video Annotations

1. What is it?
   
   • It allows you to link your video to other videos on YouTube.
   • The links appear right within the content of the video itself.
   • You could design a "choose your own adventure" with different trails for users to follow
     
     
2. Why use it?
   
   • It adds interactivity to your video
   • It adds messaging to your video
   • It allows marketers the opportunity to add interactive calls to action to videos and then track that usage.
     
     
3. How do I use it?
   
   • Enter you video editing suite and access the Annotations
   • You can choose to add types of annotations such as bubbles, notes, boxes, etc.

YouTube Streams

1. What is it?
   
   • Allows you to share YouTube videos with others in real-time via a "Room".
     
   • While viewing videos together, the community gets to interact with others while sharing their own videos.
   • The Stream broadcasts the video in real-time and shows the upcoming videos.
   • You can add your own videos and adjust the design of the Stream (skins)
   • The creator gets to manage the Stream Community.
   • Everyone in the Stream can add videos.
   • The videos remain in the Archive of the Stream.
